Question by rolando: what should I look out for when buying ranch land in new Mexico?
Where is the best and safest areas to hunt, fish and ranch cattle. I would like to be able to snow ski in the winters and water ski in the summers as well, so location is important.

In terms of skiing, in my opinion, the best in the State is at Taos. However, ranch land near Taos is at a serious premium. You might have better luck near Ruidoso or south eastern NM. I’ve skied, Ski Apache near Ruidoso, and its small but a nice little area. You’ll probably find more ranches available near Ruidoso or outside of Las Cruces.
